Likes: being alone, mastering her new abilities, not freaking out when people talk to her. Dislikes: big crowds, direct sunlight, being a ghost. Strengths: quick learner, speed reading, being invisible (literally) Weaknesses: basic communication, freaking out when people talk to her, believing everything people tell her. Hobbies: finding new places to be alone, sports (when she was alive), people watching. Goals: to be able to ghost properly and not be afraid of everyone around her. Other: n/a |
- skeptical: laelia hears a lot of rumors about the different students at the school and tries not to believe all of them.
- naive: because she is brand new to the supernatural scene, she is unsure of what to believe, and though she tries not to finds herself believing more things than not
- shy: laelia knows absolutely nobody, and is rather painfully shy because of it.
- friendly: despite being shy and uncomfortable most of the time, Laelie has still maintained her friendliness from when she was alive
- lonely: because she's only been a ghost for such a short period of time Laelia does not have any friends and gets to be extremely lonely at times.

| Laelia, when she was alive, was not the most outgoing girl but she was still very friendly and fun to be around. After dying, and discovering the supernatural world she almost shut down into herself, become painfully shy and afraid of her new peers. It takes her a while to get used to being around people, especially with so many rumors going around about so many of the different species, it makes it hard for her to know what to believe. |
Laelia had a fairly decent life. She lived with her single mother, Anna in California in a small two-bedroom apartment, her father having died before she was born. She was a straight A student in school, not very popular but had a small group of friends, and was sociable enough. Even being apart of the after school art club.
After graduating high school she got a part-time job at a local diner in hopes of saving money to help pay for books for when she started classes at the community college. All-in-all she had a happy life, and wouldn't have traded it in for the world.
Unfortunately, as it does, life decided to throw a curve ball at her. One night she was leaving her job pretty late, the dinner rush not slowing down until just after closing time. She was walking to the bus stop when she was suddenly grabbed from behind, a hand on her mouth preventing her from screaming, and was being dragged into a dark alleyway.
She was told by the man, who to this day she can't remember what he looked like because it had been so dark out, that he was tired of her ignoring and rejecting her advances and he would have her one way or the other. Laelia fought against him, kicking at him between the legs and clawing at his eyes. Somehow he pulled a gun out, but Laelia didn't notice until it was too late. She doesn't remember being in pain. She let out a scream just seconds before the gunshot, and then the next thing she remembers is looking at her own body crumpled onto the ground.
Laelia hadn't known ghosts existed outside of campfire stories, and suddenly she was one. Knowing she couldn't return home to her mother, who would surely die of a heart attack upon seeing her, Laelia opted to roam around instead. It wasn't long before she met a scout who told her about Otherworld Academy.
She's only been at the Academy for just a few months, but it has been one serious case of culture shock. She hadn't even known supernaturals existed but suddenly she was surrounded by them, and she was one. It is taking quite a bit for her to get used to her new living situation, and learn more of her new world, but she is hoping to get to the point where she isn't so terrified of the creatures she now called peers. |

| Anna Bourne: she was very close to her mother and misses her greatly. she wouldn't dare go see her though because she knows her mom would probably die upon seeing her. |
