Saoirse held her phone in her hands, pacing back and forth in front of the closet and Jungshin met in often. Well, when Saoirse wasn't in the library. Because a recent turn of events drove Saoirse to do a lot more research than she normally did. And not just for classes either. The past couple weeks had been spent with an increased appetite, and that food almost immediately ending up in the toilet. She'd also been a lot more tired than she normally was. Those symptoms sounded eerily familiar, and though her and Jungshin only talked about it a little bit, Saoirse felt looking into ghost pregnancies just a bit more than they had before.
After not finding too much information, she figured she should stop putting off the inevitable and went to get a pregnancy test done. Now she stood pacing, trying to figure out how to tell Jungshin. She wasn't sure how he'd react. They hadn't been together very long, and she wasn't sure if he wanted kids, or a family. Their whole relationship had progressed pretty quickly, so Saoirse shouldn't have been so surprised that this was happening now, but surprised she found herself. With a sigh, she quickly texted Jungshin, asking him to meet her at the closet. Guess she was going to find out his thoughts soon enough.

Jungshin laughed as the newborn penguin stumbled coming to say hi. Being only a couple days old, it was still a rather clumsy little thing. (Like father like... chick?) Admittedly, it's hatching was a bittersweet moment, partially because Jungshin had been in class when it happened, and partially because it hatching meant he'd soon enough have to try to return it to it's colony. Unable to tell the gender, he named it "Kio," an ambiguous play off the Korean word "kiwo," meaning "cute," despite being advised by the headmaster to not get attached to it.
Kio squawked indignantly at Jungshin, and Jungshin could only chuckle more. He pulled out his phone to take a picture of Kio; he'd make as many memories as he could, just in case Kio assimilated into its colony seamlessly; when he noticed he had a text message from Saoirse. He was happy about that - with midterms and everything, they'd barely had time to see each other recently, and texting each other was frequent but not enough. He was happy she wanted to meet up, and he scooped up Kio and cradled the penguin before replying, "I'll be there soon!" She hadn't had the chance to officially meet Kio yet, she'd probably be happy to meet it. He walked quickly to the closet, giving Saoirse a smile as he got closer to her. "Hey. What's up?" He asked her before giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

Saoirse looked up startled when Jungshin kissed her cheek, letting out a breathy laugh. "Hi." She said, smiling at him. It'd been too long since she last saw him for more than a few minutes, and she admittedly missed him.
She was about to tell him she had something to tell him when she noticed the penguin in his arms. "O-oh. It hatched?" Granted she knew it had because Jungshin had texted her the moment he found out. But still, seeing the penguin in person was still shocking.
"Uh...I have something to tell you." Saoirse started, rocking on her heels lightly. "And I'm not sure how you'd react."

Jungshin smiled and nodded, "Yep! I decided to name it Kio." He told her excitedly, but his face fell as he noticed she seemed nervous. He could't figure what it was that she'd want to tell him. For a quick second he thought maybe she'd want to break up, but that didn't really warrant an "I'm not sure how you'd react." That wouldn't cause an unsure reaction. That would be an "I hope you don't get upset," or something along those lines. "What is it?"

"U-uh, well..." She started, chewing on her bottom lip. "You remember how we were researching if ghosts could have babies a few weeks ago?" That was a really bad way to start this conversation, but for some reason she was extremely nervous. Saoirse rocked on the balls of her feet again, her hands going to her stomach. "Well I think...er...well. I'm pregnant."

It took everything in Jungshin to make sure he didn't drop Kio. He had less control of his mouth, though, and it dropped opened. Even though they'd done research, even though he had a teacher that was both a ghost and a parent, he just... didn't think it'd be that possible. He had no idea how to respond, and his mouth opened and closed a couple times before he finally let words slip past his lips, "I wonder if it'll be a fox or a wolf." He winced, those weren't really the words he wanted to say, and he seemed to finally snap out of his surprise enough to stutter out a better (?) response.
"I-I mean... that is... If you want to keep it. We're... still in school and all so I'd understand if you didn't. But uhhhm... I'm not gonna like... run away or anything if you want to keep it." He wasn't that kind of guy. Plus, he liked kids, he knew how to raise them thanks to his sister, and he wanted kids. Initially it was further in the future, but he didn't really have a career path now that he was dead, and now the last thing he wanted to do was what his parents had wanted of him anyway, so his career was his to choose, assuming he even wanted one.

That certainly wasn't the first thing Saoirse expected to come out of Jungshin's mouth, and truthfully she wasn't entirely sure what to make of it. It wasn't exactly a bad reaction but did that mean he was okay with it? At his question she froze, her hands still on her stomach. She'd never considered getting rid of it. Granted she'd never really thought about having kids at all but now that she knew she was pregnant...
Saoirse quickly shook her head. "I want to keep it." She said hesitantly, looking at him. She chewed on her bottom lip. "So...you're not upset?" The fact that they were still in school had never crossed her mind either, and it was pretty stupid of them to not use protection regardless of whether or not they were unsure ghosts could have kids. But what they didn't do didn't matter now. Besides, it wasn't as if they didn't live at school, and she was sure the school had programs or something to help with situations like these. It seemed to have programs for everything else at least.

Jungshin set Kio down as the penguin started squirming, keeping an eye on it, but letting it wander a little, paying less attention as it wandered into the closet. He swung his arms back and forth, rocking on his feet as he looked down to the ground and shrugged. "I mean... I don't really have a right to be upset, do I? We knew the consequences, but didn't use protection. He stopped moving, giving her a smile, "I can support that decision." He told her happily. "I've always wanted a family... maybe not this young but y'know..." He rambled, punctuating his sentence with a shrug.

Saoirse let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding, relief flooding her system. The fact that he was okay with her being pregnant and didn't seem like he would disappear on her calmed her worries. Granted there wasn't really anywhere he could hide considering where they were but still.
"That's good." She breathed, her arms going around her waist. "I mean, I didn't think you'd run but that's still good to know." She smiled a bit at him. Now that she knew he was okay with it, having a baby seemed a little less scary. "I don't know what it'll be." She said in respond to his earlier question. "I've never seen a pregnancy between two different species before."

Jungshin smiled at her softly. At least she didn't think bad of him. It wasn't like he really could run, anyway. The school was big, but it was inevitable they'd run into each other eventually.
He thought it over, most of the things he'd been taught had been in regards to being a ghost, not a werewolf. "I've heard it could be either one of the species... But I don't actually know how to determine..." He told her, his voice fading off. He heard Kio make a noise, and looked over at the open door before taking Saoirse's hand and leading them inside. He sat down against the wall next to Kio, who flopped ungracefully into his lap. He laughed a bit before looking back up at Saoirse. "Regardless, it'll be a were. And it'll have a good family." He patted Kio, "Possibly even a pet penguin."

Saoirse leaned against the wall, wrapping her arms around her stomach with a light sigh. She wasn't one hundred percent sure how were pregnancies worked in general. Her parents were human, and she had never met any pregnant were's before. There was a general knowledge she'd gotten from class but more specific information was something she was lacking. This meant she'd have to take more trips to the library. She sighed again. "Yeah." Saoirse agreed, nodding her head. At the very least the baby would have parents who loved it, regardless.
At the mention of the penguin Saoirse shook her head lightly. "I thought the headmaster said to take it back outside once it hatched?" She knew it was a silly question, a big part of her knew Jungshin was going to end up trying to keep the penguin somehow, especially with how attached he'd been to it as an egg. She glanced at the penguin before asking, "Are you gunna at least try to let it back out with its kind or are you just gonna keep it like I know you're dying to?"

Jungshin pouted at her, “do you really think so low of me? Of course I’ll try to let it back with the other penguins.” A mischievous grin formed on his face, “but I might get lost on the way, or something of the like.” Kio just hatched a couple days ago, it should at least get a chance before trying to take it back. Besides, Kio’s an orphan, who’s to say it won’t be the same as with his egg, and it’s left all alone.” Jungshin was pouring now. “Of course I want a pet penguin, and of course I want to do the right thing and try and let Kio go back to its group only to be ignored and die that way.” He sighed, “I hate using logic. It typically just disappoints me.”

Saoirse shook her head lightly at Jungshin's pout. She wondered every day how it was Jungshin was the older one when he acted like this. "I don't think low of you at all." She said, reaching out to poke his nose. "I just know you." She smiled lightly, looking down the penguin. "He is cute though, I wouldn't blame you if you kept him. I don't think he'd do too well in a warmer climate though, being a penguin and all." She clicked her tongue, wrapping her arms around her still flat stomach. "Maybe if the penguins don't accept him Blakwell will make an exception and let you keep him."

"Most places in the world require a license to have an exotic pet." Jungshin muttered as he side-eyed Kio. He looked back to Saoirse. "And he already said he would, so he better not go back on his word. He doesn't seem the type..." He added, muttering by the last sentence. He looked at his girlfriend, his eyes going to her stomach and then back to her face. "We should probably also tell him about..." His eyes went down to her stomach again as he faded off.

"Jungshin you're a ghost wolf. We live in a school of supernaturals. I don't think anyone is going to be checking to see if you have a license to have a pet penguin." Saoirse said with an amused smile. At his next comment her eyes also went to her stomach, laying her hands flat against it with a sigh. "Yeah, you're right. I'm sure they'd appreciate knowing." She'd never seen anyone pregnant at the school, though she was sure it happened. With this many students around, it had to be something that happened more than once. What would the staff do about it, if anything? "Did you want to go do that now then? Get it out the way? They'll probably want me to go to the nurse or something to make sure everything is okay."
