"Kio can learn in both languages." Jungshin insisted, petting Kio's head. He pouted at her insistence to leave Kio to join the other penguins. "I can't help it! If Kio gets hurt, how will we be able to help it? I will hover and no one will stop me. Cause I'll just go invisible. Who would stop me then?" Jungshin's voice went from protective parent to indignant child pretty fast while he was talking.
He sighed and looked to the door before looking back to Saoirse and offering her his hand. "I guess we should get this over with, hmm?" He said, not letting her answer before he led them to the headmaster's office.
As he entered, he noticed the Headmaster's eyes go directly to Kio, and he clutched onto the penguin protectively.
"I see you still have the penguin. Have you tried letting it go to the other penguins yet?"
"Yeah..." Jungshin said softly, averting his eyes.
"I'd like you to try one more time, maybe leaving it alone for a bit. Penguins are meant to be out in the cold. You leaving it alone for more than few minutes won't do any harm."
Jungshin nodded, and then looked to Saoirse. "Uhm, Sir, that's not the only reason we're here."
The Headmaster raised an eyebrow, looking between the two.
"Saoirse is pregnant..." Jungshin told him, even more hesitant than when talking about Kio.
The Headmaster sighed, looking at Saoirse, then Jungshin, then to something on his phone. Jungshin heard him mutter something about "should've known it was too quiet of a year," but didn't immediately respond, instead seeming to message somebody. "Since you two are coming to me, I'm going to assume you want to keep it?"
Jungshin gave him a short, but hesitant nod.
The Headmaster nodded, and motioned to a nurse that had just showed up outside the office. "Were-creature babies, and mothers, go through a lot during pregnancy. I'm not exactly sure how the ghost part comes into play, either. Saoirse, you'll have consistent medical care throughout your pregnancy." He looked at both of them individually, seeming intent on drilling into their eyes. "If at any point, you change your mind about having the child,
please come to me or the nurse, or any staff or teacher you're comfortable with. You don't have to go to drastic measure, understand?"
Jungshin gave a half nod before interrupting it. "That's it? No reprimanding? Nothing?" He blurted out.
"You are both still in school, yes, but you're also both adults. It's not our favorite thing to deal with, but you two are old enough to make your own decisions, and I'd like to believe those are level-headed and well-thought out decisions. Saoirse, once you start showing, you'll be switched to private lessons."
Jungshin looked to Saoirse as the Headmaster seemed done, an incredulous look on his face as he gave her a shrug.
