Other: She prefers being called Star over her actual name. Calling her Astraia will not anger her, but it will annoy her. This is mostly due to the fact that her parents always referred to her with her real name and it feels very impersonal to her. |

| Star usually comes off as haughty and conceited, and it isn't completely wrong. This is partially the fault of her family, who raised her to be so. Her parents recognized their mistake quickly though, and have sent her to the academy in hopes that being raised around other families and lifestyles will help negate that.
Despite her rather stand-offish personality, Star is very well spoken (perhaps too well for someone her age) and tends to gravitate towards those who are okay with sitting in mutual silence and are okay with her need to be alone at times. She can be nice when confronted with the right person, and does at times look out for others well being above her own. |
Astraia was born the only child to a family of pure Fae. She was born in an arranged marriage to a young Fae couple, placed in a marriage to preserve the pure bloodlines between the two families. Her family was fairly well off, and extremely proud. Because of that she was very spoiled, and raised under the mindset that her family was better than most.
Star was told shortly before her eleventh birthday that she would be attending Otherworld Academy. She had been homeschooled up until then, and while the idea of going to a school full of other supernaturals, many of which were "troubled" didn't sound great to her, she dutifully obeyed her parents, and found herself on a plane to Antarctica soon after.
Naturally she has hated everything about the experience since arriving. She doesn't love the cold, and hates that it's so dark all the time. Being an only, spoiled, child meant that she didn't have to share any of her things, so having roommates has been something that is very difficult for her to get accustomed to.
She has excelled in her studies, though she hates the fact that she has to take an ESL class, not understanding why the other students don't just learn Greek, or she just be placed in Greek exclusive classes. Still, her parents have instructed her to make the best of being at the academy, and to try and make friends. Since she is still young, her parents are hoping by being in the academy, she will not turn out as proud and stuckup as their families. |
