Felix was bored. Deimos had promised he'd keep in touch, and sure, his brother kept his promise, mostly. But he had been busy lately because he and Rosalind were working on moving to Corinth and so they were constantly not by their devices (because heaven forbid his brother actually answer a text in a timely manner). He had friends his age, sure, but he missed his brother and Rosie and even though he understood severe bullying was a good reason to want to leave the school, he also wished they hadn't. Even though he didn't technically need it anymore while in school, he was avid in keeping up his studies in Greek Sign Language. He was promised he'd be the first visitor to his brother's new apartment and he wanted to impress him. So far, he had only managed some basic phrases. It was frustrating, because Greek was already very different from German, and then Sign Language in and of itself was extremely different to any spoken language. He was thankful to have Cailean helping him out, but the werewolf was off somewhere doing something or other and Felix sometimes felt like he was a burden to the older man anyway. The last thing he wanted was to look like Cailean's little puppy, following him around everywhere. He figured Deimos probably wouldn't like that very much either, though he didn't really get what his brother's problem was with Cai, unless he got upset at being called pup. And so because of all those reasons, Felix now found himself completely lost, searching through a webpage entirely in Greek. He knew what "Greek Sign Language" looked like in Greek, and Deimos had taught him to read the letters, but that was about as far as he could get. Translating the page helped none, so he was just clicking and searching on the page blindly for the thing that made him go to the page in the first place. The only English on the page was one advertising this webpage was "by Deaf Greeks, for anyone wanting to learn GSL. Most authentic site you'll find." If that was true, Felix wanted to use this site. He just had to figure out how. He chewed the eraser on his pencil in frustration, pulling his legs up onto the chair. Maybe if he translated the words one by one, he'd find it by the end of the night... Astraia Dione MetaxiNotes: ignore the punny title... I had to. >__>

Astraia shuffled into the library, sketch book in hand. She didn't have homework due to summer vacation, and she was bored sitting in her room. She knew she couldn't avoid the general populous forever, her roommates made sure of that, and it was getting to the point where she was giving up on trying to be alone.
Thus Star found herself at the library, hoping that because it was summer break nobody would be utilizing the library. She pushed the door open, letting out a sigh of relief. Aside from a couple of students in a corner, and one on the computer there didn't seem to be very many people inside.
She made her way towards one of the empty tables near the windows, setting her sketch book down. She was about to reach into her bag for pencils when she noticed the one kid on the computer seemed to be looking at something Greek. It caught her interest purely due to the fact that it didn't seem like many people spoke Greek in this school, let alone took the time to learn it. Though he didn't seem to be able to read it very well. In fact, he seemed to be struggling quite a bit.
Going against her nature Star stood and made her way over to him. "What are you looking for?" She questioned, leaning over his shoulder.

Felix jumped as someone suddenly spoke behind him. Normally he was better at hearing people, he hadn't realized how engrossed he had been in trying to read the webpage. He turned and saw it was a girl. A pretty girl. "Uhh..." He began dimly, pointing to the screen. It took a moment before words would form in his mind. "I'm trying to learn Greek Sign Language, and this page says it's the best, but I can't find the link to the videos or pictures or whatever for the actual signs." He explained. He felt like he had been slurring or something, he couldn't think straight. Who was this girl? As a hybrid, he took a lot of classes with other species, so he recognized a lot more of his year than most of the other students. But he was still put into mostly vampire or were-creature classes, so maybe she was of another species. Maybe a fairy, she was radiantly beautiful, like Rosalind was. "You can read Greek?" He asked, a bit surprised. He knew there were other students from Greece in the school; next to Americans, Europeans were the most common ethnicity, but the way Deimos talked made it seem like he was the only one. Even after his scouting mission, he promptly ignored the blind hybrid, and continued saying there were no other Greek students. (Which, Felix had a friendly-classmate relation with the boy, his name was Alex, he was a year older and actually kinda cool.)
He wondered for a moment if maybe his brother just wasn't looking hard enough. After all, Deimos was at a disadvantage, he couldn't necessarily eavesdrop on a conversation to figure out the language. Or at least he assumed that was what the issue was, since that was how Felix found all his German friends.

"Well you aren't going to find it on this page." Star quipped, reaching around him and taking the mouse in her hand. She went to the url box, typing in a different address. A page came up with plenty of videos, each of the titles in both Greek and the English equivalent. She took a step back, crossing her arms. "Why are you trying to learn Greek Sign Language? I am sure there are far more interesting languages you could learn."
She regarded the boy, arms still crossed. He seemed vaguely familiar, but that was about it. Star didn't pay much attention to the students at the Academy, so where or how she knew him was beyond her. Still, even she had to admit he was kind of cute. At his next question she blinked, tilting her head and brushing her hair behind her shoulder. "Of course I can read Greek." Star huffed. "I would hope I learned something being born in the country and all."

Felix muttered an indignant 'thanks' before huffing at her. "All languages are interesting." He protested. "And it's my older brother's native language, so I'm learning it for him." He explained. He perked up as she mentioned being from Greece. "Oh! Really? Where are you from? My brother is from Filippiada. I got to visit him and his parents at Christmas, it was so fun." Based off what Deimos said about Greece, he assumed she was probably from Athens, since she seemed to be wearing higher quality clothes and seemed to also have the attitude to match.

"You have a brother from Greece and you are just now learning the language? Is he not assisting you?" Star asked, raising an eyebrow. She had to remember that not everyone grew up the way she did, and that the majority of students in this school came from broken families at best. From the way he spoke, they must not have grown up together. Perhaps one of both of them had been adopted, if the elder one had a different set of parents than the boy in front of her.
She rocked a bit on her feet. Greek wasn't a very popular language in the school, so part of her was impressed that this boy was actively trying to learn it. "My family is from Athens." She answered him, folding her hands. "I assume it is your brother who is deaf, seeing as you are trying to learn sign language? Have you begun learning the language itself as well?"

Felix shifted uncomfortably. This was probably a question he should begin to expect, or at least some variant of it. It wasn't every day brothers were raised by different parents, let alone in different countries. "Well... We only found out each other existed earlier this year..." He told her hesitantly. "And he went back home to Greece. I'm still gonna visit him an' talk to him 'n' stuff though, so I still want to learn." It was also strange to find someone who didn't just know, though he supposed his assumption everyone knew his brother and therefore him was based off the fact that he spent too much time with people his brother's age. In fact, he didn't really hear much about his brother at all from kids his age. "And yes, I've begun learning the language, and it is my brother who is deaf."
