[attr="class","alibitext"]deimos is a werewolf and vampire hybrid. he has borderline personality disorder and is profoundly deaf, due to the nature of his birth. he holds onto the past a bit too tightly, and is quick to anger. at the academy, everyone views him as a danger, someone to avoid, because of a dissociative fugue when he was 18 that resulted in the death of a researcher. he keeps up a tough facade, but in reality, he just wants to be accepted and cared about. once one gets past his tough exterior, he's actually quite friendly and also rather protective. He struggles with alcoholism and suicidal tendencies, though he's been sober and clean from both on and off since early november 2017. because of the chronic pain, he was also addicted to pain killers for most of his teen years. after he killed the researcher, he had a suicide attempt that caused the doctors to take him off anything stronger than over-the-counter pain meds.[break][break]

he gets prickly at people that look down on him. he's been called a mutt, a derogatory term in this case reserved only for werevamps, more often than he can count. he hates being treated differently, and it's part of what attributes to his anger problems. however, thankfully (to him), he's only gotten angry enough to have had two dissociative fugues.[break][break]

before leaving, he had finally gotten some of his peers to stop viewing him as a threat, but very few of the students from his year are still at the school. because good gossip is told for years to come, a majority of the current students are afraid of him. a lot of other students think they're of higher status, a common occurrence when it comes to any werevamp hybrid. deimos does more people watching than actually making friends, but he does really want more. (except cailean. he promises he doesn't want to be friends with him)[break][break]

deimos' family is a bit convoluted, consisting of his adopted parents, his little brother, and more recently, felix's parents (who said he could call them aunt and uncle if he wanted). he's realized now that though his human parents messed up a lot when raising him, they did the best they could, and has more appreciation for them. they did mentally hurt him quite often, though. after they told him to his face they were afraid of him, he had a hard time feeling attached enough to give them attention more than once every few weeks. he recently got an apology from them, and it seems to have helped repair their relationship. he also met his biological parents in 2017, and absolutely hates them, especially after pretty much telling him they hoped he had died.[break][break]

as for his brother, deimos instantly became protective over felix, who is a rarity among werevamps in that there appears to be almost nothing wrong with him. felix has his own adopted parents, and he grew up in germany as opposed to deimos' greece, but they bonded quickly and felix instantly accepted he has an older brother now. they still keep in touch online, and deimos tries to get felix to visit during breaks so they can see each other.[break][break]

deimos tried very hard to not bother falling in love. the first time he had confessed to a girl he had a crush on her, she told him she wouldn't sleep with a mutt. one failed attempt to get a significant other turned into two, then three, and by the fifth time he got the nerve to confess and got denied, he just gave up. he didn't let himself get close to anyone, he stopped confessing, even though he kept getting crushes on his peers, one of them being his now-(fr?)enemy cailean. eventually, he'd see people talking about him, about how he was attractive but it was such a shame he's a mutt. finally, after knowing her for 4 years, he confessed, though only after she did, to Rosalind Neveah Bonner. they have a pretty tight bond, but it occasionally goes through some hiccups.
