Normally Astraia wasn't one to hang out in the classroom once class was over, but she was feeling particularly unwilling to return to her dorm room just yet, and there weren't very many spots in the school she liked enough to warrant spending a significant amount of time in. One of her roommates had just had a birthday this past week, and while Star wasn't the jealous type, it was getting increasingly annoying hearing other's wish her a belated birthday, or hearing the other girl talk about what her parents had sent her and how she was excited to fly home for the weekend to celebrate properly.
Star's family was not very big on celebrating birthday's. It was just another day to them, and they often treated it as just another day. In fact, Star hadn't known celebrating the day one was born was a thing until very recently. Her own birthday had been just the day before, and while it didn't bother her then that it wasn't being celebrated - why would it? Nobody knew when it was - today it was rubbing her some type of way.
Which was annoying and of itself. Things like this didn't bother Star.
The young Fae let out a frustrated sigh, trying to concentrate on the book in her hands and not think about her stupid roommate and her stupid birthday.

Felix glanced down at his phone one last time before letting out a huff. So his brother wouldn't talk to him, that was fine. He could ignore people too.
He put his phone into his pocket and readjusted his backpack. He had left a book in his desk and he'd have to return it to the lbirary at some point so he figured he'd go back to get it before someone else took it. He was surprised to see someone else in the classroom once he got in. He was more surprised to find he knew that particular someone. "Oh! Hey Star! What's up?" He said, switching to Greek about halfway through the sentence. Talking to him or not, the practice helped him communicate with Deimos, and Star also seemed to like him better when he used it.

"Felix." Star was unsure why the hybrid boy insisted on talking to her. She thought she'd made it clear that she had no real interest in being friends with him but he was very persistent. That's what happened when you were nice to someone once. They took it as an invitation to talk to you whenever possible.
At least he had the decency to speak to her in her native language. Remembering to speak English was tiring for Star, and she hated having to do it everyday. Talking to Felix was a nice reprieve if she were completely honest. "Hello." Astraia gestured to the book in her hands. "I am just reading. What are you doing in here?"

Felix looked around, finding his book where he left it in the basket under the seat. He picked it up and held it up to show Star. "Came back for a library book." He tried to see what book she was holding, "Whatcha reading?"
He really wished he knew how to talk to girls. Deimos had never been any help, only telling him to not bother confessing to anyone and just let a girl confess to him. His parents also weren't much help, having been high school sweethearts or something. If only he had a sister, or female friend, who could tell him what girls liked. Maybe he should ask Rosie. She was his sister-in-law, so it was close enough. He sighed, running a hand through his hair and looking up at Star, "Do you usually sit in empty classrooms and read?"
