NOTES: were-form is that of a female deer, Braith often uses she/her when referring to his were, and herself while were, though occasionally treats pronouns as interchangeable. While he's not picky with pronouns for his human form, he commonly goes by he/him, and generally views himself as male. Also, Braith is mostly vegetarian, though he has taken a liking to seafood and sushi.
SKILLS: Music - instruments (guitar & piano), perfect pitch, excellent singing voice Knowledge - fluent in 4 languages (French, English, German, and Korean), is also well-versed in street-fighting techniques in human form, though he often lacks the intent to truly harm. Food - talented cook and gardener, though he cannot use an American grill and burns traditional English and American food often.
UNSKILLS: Dance - Blaith cannot dance one bit, he lacks a natural rhythm Romance - "Ha" Meet the guy who can fail every one-liner, not to mention his inability to notice other's feelings Alcohol - Blaith never plans on drinking, but suffice to say, while he can hold it, it does not take long for drunken rambling to commence, followed shortly by a quick black-out.
LIKES: reading, animals, music, tests, travel, foreign cultures, food
DISLIKES: parties, red meat, dancing, rain, guns, folk music, crowds
HOBBIES: photography, travel, exercise, hopes to take up an equestrian sport

- cunning: highly intelligent, and with a drive to boot. Braith can achieve anything when he puts his mind to it, and he's made a name for himself as the one to come to if you need to know the who's who or find out some something or other.
- nervous: the thorn that digs at his intelligence and drowns out his inner snark and charms, Braith is notorious for worrying over any and every possibility. The "what if's" in his head hold him back more than anything, and though not diagnosed officially, it's fairly clear that the young Braith has a rather severe case of anxiety.
- talkative: Braith's anxiety has never been the sort to get him twisted up on words, rather, it seems to make them overflow like a waterfall, quick, rambling, and sometimes with little sense. Other times, with profound meaning. Over time and through becoming more familiar with someone, this is no longer such an issue, nor are some parts of his anxiety, however that doesn't mean that at the base of it, he's simply quite the jabberer. He may not admit it, but he enjoys his fair share of gossip, and Braith can always be counted on to be in the loop, though he's not above charging a price.
- perseverance: Braith still has a fight instinct, but it's hidden, it's in the foolhardiness of his ventures, the sharp wit of his tongue, and the eagerness to pounce on weakness. It's hidden yes, under lock and key, but it is clear to those that pay attention that whatever odd thing Braith may be, flight instinct or not, he doesn't need a wolf within to keep him alive.
- charm: Get past the nerves, the words, and you find someone truly sweet and nice. Most only see Braith as either twitchy or only caring about his books, but there's a gentleness there. At the basis of himself, he's a bit dorky and a bit sweet, with snark, charm, and savvy wit all wound together. The anxiety, the frantics, it can hide the golden side of Braith, and it's probably what's made it so hard for him to make friends. It takes someone who'll actually put the time into befriending Braith to see the treasure within the youth's heart.

| He's the one who always knows something, but will only tell at the right price. Few have managed to get on first-name basis with Braith, and few set such a thing as a goal. He'd never argue that he was a good person, he thinks of himself before others most times, and his quick-talking mannerisms hide his charms with sharp or nervous tones. Those who've bothered to talk to him tend to view him as either a pessimist, or a flighty and uncertain one. Neither tends to be the desired choice for a friend. |
The Cadoc name has long since been established as the name of one of the largest werepacks in Northern Ireland, chances are if you meet a were in Ireland, the British Isles, or even parts of Great Britain, it's not unreasonable to assume they're Cadoc. Cadoc's have upheld many of their old traditions, including keeping their traditional Welsh names alive, and they live largely undetected by the human world. So, what could have caused a weredeer, something practically unheard of, to be born into the Cadoc Pack? Cadoc aren't a bad sort, they welcome werecats, foxes, and dogs alike to their pack, but none of them are aware of the source of Braith's blood. It is said that when two species mix, the consequent offspring can carry the genes necessary for both species to be born for up to four generations. It appears as though this was true in Braith's case. Weredeer genetics were introduced into the Cadoc bloodline unintentionally by Braith's great-grandmother, a lovely werewolf by the name of Branwen. Young Branwen was the playful sort, always eager. It wasn't her fault that she fell for the charms of a youthful singer who'd come to the bar. His name was forgotten by Branwen, with only the memories of a beautiful voice staying in her mind, as such the love was superficial. A mid-summer night fling, and although Branwen had been made aware that while he was a were, he was not a werewolf, she assumed werecat, and put little thought to it. So you see, the resulting child became Braith's grandfather, a perfectly normal werewolf, and so was Braith's father. Braith, the tragic third child, was the only one among the Cadoc Pack to inherit the active, working gene that gave him the beating heart of prey within a pack of wolves and werecats. The Cadoc were an honorable sort of course, they wouldn't kick Braith out simply for something he couldn't control, but his mother Catherine, born outside of the Cadoc, knew that no amount of honor would make it safe for a weredeer. They tried, they truly did, to help Braith live like the pack, but it wouldn't change the fact that he was a deer, with a flight instinct constantly hammering within his head. After one too many young weres almost mistook Braith for prey, and a human hunter as well, it was agreed that the 5 year old boy would be going to Otherworld Academy early due to his special situation. No one was all that concerned, Braith was uncharacteristically intelligent, even if he was a twitchy little thing. The youth was quite unhappy and scared leaving behind his family, Cadocs were proud to be able to hide from the human community on their own, they rarely sent their own to the Academy, but solace came in the form of his older brother Trystan, who promised to write every week. However, upon arriving to the Academy, the youth was swept up in the wonders of the library, and quickly came to call the place home. Even on occasions when vacations were permitted, Braith rarely used them to visit his family, the Cadoc territory fired up his nerves and he did his best to avoid it. Instead he was schooled, albeit sparingly, given his own insatiable drive to pull knowledge from any book he could get his hands on, the youth was already far ahead of those his grade, so he was rarely pressured into classes, and he still passed all tests with uncanny accuracy. However, his largely solitary self-education is likely the source of his lack of sociability, and while most anyone who's been in the school at least a day has seen him, few know much about him, nor can they claim to have talked to him. However, Braith certainly knows about them.

| Catherine Cadoc: Braith's relationship with his mother isn't on poor terms, but neither parties are interested in reuniting entirely.
Cynfael Cadoc: Braith was never all that close with his father, just like his mother, but there's no toxicity in the relationship, however, there's no true loss either.
Iorwen Cadoc: His eldest sister, a hothead when times are good and a stickler for the value of a true werewolf, neither parties are on friendly terms.
Trystan Cadoc: Always the closest to Braith, he's kept him up to date on all the new growth in the family, and they email each other every week, Trystan is perhaps the only family member Braith truly mourns to not have at his side.
Heulwen & Eirwyn Cadoc: The young and spunky Cadoc twins, Braith has only met them three times since they were born, and neither of the twins were all that impressed. Rumors are circulating in the Cadoc Pack that Cynfael has plans to send the twins to the Academy as well, given their repeated offenses that have disrupted the safety of the pack.
Selwyn Cadoc: The youngest and last sibling to Braith, the two have only met twice, but they seem to enjoy each other's company, with Selwyn being seen as the most like Braith due to his quiet, "calmer" nature. Braith views Selwyn and Trystan as his favorite siblings.
