Jinhai shrugged as he shoved his hands into his pockets. "I don't mind..." He said simply. He was kind of curious what made him change his mind, and he tried to remember what was being served in the cafeteria. He didn't really pay much attention, if he were being honest. He just ate what was there because the food tended to be delicious. But considering the amount of meat there typically was, it made sense Cadoc would be less than interested. "Make it something tasty." He chirped, bouncing slightly ahead towards their dorms.

Banana snickerdoodles, yes! Those would be perfect. He knew Jin wasn't the biggest fan of vegetables, so bananas were clearly the way to go. And anyway, they were excellent stress relievers. Cadoc always enjoyed having an additional plus to healthy eating. He followed the vamp as Jin scooted ahead, trying not to fall behind. When they reached the dorm, Cadoc almost caved at the possibility of just laying down after the stress of the week, but instead made his way to the fridge, eyeing the contents. Most of it was empty of standard food, aside from water, milk, blood (yuck), and some lemonade, but the bottom drawers were packed with vegetables, and some fruits that he'd either grown or purchased. He turned on the small oven they were permitted, and started pulling out the ingredients along with a bowl and baking sheet. Pausing to look to see what Jin was doing, he asked, "Banana snickerdoodles sound good? For desert at least." Cadoc's own meal would be only a quick prep and pan-fry. He figured it'd be best to make sure the vamp wouldn't mind the choice of dessert before he started making it, though. Jin may have made him a bit tense today, but Cadoc was trying his best to be accommodating and amiable now, as some sort of way of making up for his attitude earlier. He lived with the guy, after all, being an ass all the time probably wouldn't be good for Cadoc's health.

Once Jinhai got into the dorm, he went to set his headphones down on his desk before going and leaning against the wall near the fridge, but still out of the way, and playing on his phone. He looked up as Cadoc asked him a question. "Oo, sounds good." He said, giving his roommate a smile and a thumbs up. "I don't know if I never paid attention or what, but I didn't know you could cook well enough to make things like snickerdoodles." He could cook, but he rarely did because he only ate actual food when he was craving something, so his abilities weren't the best. He scrolled through Facebook, quickly getting bored (and jealous - one of his friends he had made at the academy that graduated a few years back was now road-tripping from Canada to Brazil), he switched to playing a game, one of those mindless tapping games. He occasionally glanced up at Cadoc, often getting mesmerized watching the kid cook and staring longer than he realized.

Cadoc let out a little laugh, "Probably because I don't cook deserts often," Especially since they weren't exactly his specialty. Aside from some cookies and the odd sweet, Cadoc's skills were pretty limited when it came to desserts. Snickerdoodles on the other hand, were one of his favorites that he usually cooked pretty well, though he wouldn't be surprised if they were a bit bitter than they should be today. When he checked, he was nearly out of vanilla extract, and had barely a teaspoon of it, compared to the tablespoon he normally used. Other than that, he had the ingredients necessary. Some brown sugar, ripe bananas to mash, and some vegetable oil, cinnamon, and other standard baking ingredients. After prepping, mixing, and finally squashing down the final disk onto the sheet to form the cookie, he placed the sheet of cookies onto the top rack of the oven and shut it. Dusting off his hands, then quickly rinsing and drying them with a towel, the youth yawned and leaned on the counter opposite Jinhai. "Should be ready in about an hour, hope that's not too long." Cadoc figured it wouldn't be all that long to the vampire, he imagined they must have considerably more patience given their lifespans. "What do you wanna watch?" He added as he unceremoniously dumped the used bowls into the sink to clean later, then let himself sink into the couch as he flicked the TV on, fighting a rising yawn.

Jinhai smile as the boy finished. "Nah, I think I can wait that long." He joked, sticking out his tongue for a second. He plopped down on the other side of the couch, shrugging, "I dunno... what's on?" He asked, looking to his phone for a moment. A while ago, his dad had agreed to get Netflix (finally), but Jinhai hadn't used it in a while. He checked if the login information still worked. "Aw, sweet. I have Netflix, if there's nothing good on TV." He offered Cadoc, looking up at him with a grin.

Cadoc cast a brief glance at Jinhai as the vampire looked down at his phone, "Not much," He said, remembering that he'd had to get Hulu earlier this year. The school was a nice place, but it was still in Antarctica. At Jin's next words, Cadoc blinked in a bit of surprise, 'He's had Netflix this whole time?'. Yeah, the two didn't exactly get up into each other's business, but he was a bit cross that he could have been using Netflix this whole time. His Hulu subscription had been canceled this month because he was saving for his next planned vacation, honestly. "Take your pick," 'Stingy prick.' He relaxed into the couch, a smirk finding it's way onto his face in spite of his relatively relaxed state. He figured the vamp didn't have too poor of taste with shows, though Cadoc guessed he'd be able to tell just by getting a glimpse of the recommended section.

Jinhai set up Netflix on their tv, which thankfully didn't take long, and signed in to the account. "I had convinced my dad to get it a while back and totally forgot." He told the boy, hoping he wasn't upset with him. He searched through what movies he had saved; he mostly saved action movies, with a few supernatural ones (no vampire movies though), and then a few animated movies, as well as a few tv shows, all in multiple different languages. He had a couple gay films too, but he quickly skipped past them; he hadn't paid attention to the ratings when he added them, and if Cadoc got interested in the plot summary and wanted to see it, the last thing he needed was awkward sex scenes with his crush right there.
He eventually settled on a movie, The Legend of Drunken Master, which he'd seen plenty of times, but he hoped one could never go wrong with Jackie Chan, and looked to Cadoc, the movie selected, "Any objections?" He asked him.
